12 oz. bottle, pours black with a tiny head. Aroma is loaded with breakfast waffles—cinnamon, maple, pecan pie—with gentle bourbon barrel presence. Flavour is rich, with huge maple-covered waffles, cinnamon, pecan pie, and wonderful bourbon barrels. These adjuncts are not what I would normally gravitate towards, but their net effect is wonderful: like bourbon waffles. Delicious.

Dark brown, no head. Excessive cinnamon and hazelnut and praline and yeah that. Rich, deep cinnamon, light hazelnut and burnt sugars, a good shot of bourbon. This is unsubtle, but I’m okay with that.

Bottle from Tavour: pours black with beige head. Aroma is vanilla and cinnamon, with woody and chocolate notes. Some booziness. Fairly sweet. Spicy feel. Quite large and sweet.

Refrigerated 12 oz squat brown bottle poured into a snifter. Black with small beige head. Aroma is cinnamon, medium/thick body, lower carbonation, and very little lacing. Taste is big cinnamon, chocolate, vanilla, and some maple syrup.

Appearance: black in color with a thin cap of a quickly dissipating head, no lace
Aroma: smells like liquified sticky buns, and roasty stout base
Flavor: a full blown sticky bun sweetness, rich, nutty decadent; aftertaste of sticky buns
Texture: medium to full bodied, good sipper, cinnamon does not distract from the body nor this beer does not become cloying at all, finishes sticky bun-like
Overall: very nice imperial pastry stout with sticky buns. I would have this bottle of diabetes again.

2025 bottle from Livonia Liquor. Pours a deep brown to black with almost no head. Cinnamon powder dominates the nose with brown sugar, molasses, vanilla, pecan and bourbon all present. Palate is similar with a holiday spice note on the finish. Warming bourbon, vanilla and cinnamon linger on the finish.
