Pour is a cloudy orange with a huge white head. Aroma is a nice fresh pine hops with some sweet caramel malt sweetness. I can already see where this one is going. Flavor is not as malt I as I was thinking it would be. Still Hops are here with a very minor presence. More sweet malt is felt after the swallow. I think I am officially IPA burnt out. I can barley get a hop presence from the recent beers I’ve had. Way more malt is showing up in these beers.

Sample at the brewpub. Clear copper-amber color with a medium white head that recedes steadily to a film. Partial rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of hops, citrus and biscuit malt. Medium body with flavors of herbal hops, grapefruit and malt. The finish is moderately bitter with a citrusy hops aftertaste. Above average overall.

Bottle. Hazy amber body. Frothy, off-white head. Big aroma of citrus, tropical fruits, toasted bread, grapefruit, pineapple. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly to moderately bitter. It finishes lightly sweet and moderately bitter. Medium body, watery/velvety texture, just short of lively carbonation. Pine and resin take a back seat to the citrus qualities of the flavor which is nice. Solid.

Bottle. Pours a deep copper color with a big off white head. Aromas (and taste) is dominated by sweet caramel malt. Lacking of citrus or pine. Too malty for me.

Bottle. Pours hazy butterscotch with millions of tiny suspended particles. Medium beige head that dissipates quickly but leaves nice lacing. Aroma is caramel, citrus, and pine. Taste is about the same, medium sweet, light to medium bitter, woody. Medium body, oily mouthfeel. Not bad, bit i suspect it was better fresh.

Draft. @ Ale Asylum. Very good IPA. Loads of citrus with a decent caramel malt backbone. I’ll be drinking this one again.

Enjoyed on tap as part of a sampler at Ale Asylum in Madison, WI. Appearance a slight cloudy amber, light white head. Aroma of skunky hops, light citrus notes, pretty nice. Taste is definitely hoppy, strong bitterness, citrus comes out a little more, pretty good.

12 ounce bottle opened 5/9/10 and courtesy of Mr. Pickles. Thanks! Pours a hazy dark brown color with a medium sized tan frothy head. Good head retention and lacing. The aroma is primarily citrus hops with a bit of a tropical vibe, and toffeeish malts. The taste is citrus hop notes with a strong earthy/resiny component. Some tropical notes here as well. Medium bodied. Pretty good IPA.
