Bottle to tulip. Distinct Brett dominates the nose, with orange peel and star fruit in moderate support. Hazy golden yellow-gold with creamy white head. Taste is spice, pepper, orange and moderately low souring. A hoppy, slightly tart and low butter finish. Seems to slightly miss the mark on many aspects.

Bottle while watching zootopia with the kid. Airy white head over cloudy golden base. Nose is citrus and Brett. Tastes of lots of tropical fruits, orange rind, sourdough bread, Brett, lemons, some barnyard. Little funk on finish. Smooth fruity beer that’s pretty tasty.

This was poured into a tulip.
The appearance was a solid hazy burnt yellow color with a slim finger’s worth of heady/hazy/foamy white lacing. Moderate sliding lacing.
The smell starts off with some light bitter pine, subtle orange to lemon bitter rind. Sourness is there, but contained.
The flavor starts off sour with nice subtle nuances of a sweet citrus pulp to lend its hand super subtly underneath. Nice sweet to sour aftertaste running into the finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a nice sessionable feel about it. Carbonation runs fairly light allowing the sourness/harshness to hit appropriately on my tongue, but still, yeah, hmmm...its fairly smooth for the most part.
Overall, reminiscent like orange juice finding an unannounced \"wild\" side. Sour, yes, this one definitely shows it’s worth as an American Wild Ale. I’d have again.

Pours clear gold into a beaker. Bright white head with good retention recedes leaving soapy lacing. Brett and lemon aromas. Crisp with sweet marshmallow and aspirin upfront turning to lemon zest before the dry, abrupt finish.

500 ml bottle into tulip glass, bottled in 8/2015. Pours crystal clear bright golden yellow color with a 2 finger fairly dense and fluffy white head with good retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings around the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of lemon, peach, passion fruit, melon, pineapple, pear, apple, pepper, cracker, bread, hay, straw, grass, light funk, and yeast earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of fruity/earthy/spicy yeast and moderate pale malt notes; with good strength. Taste of big lemon, peach, passion fruit, melon, pineapple, pear, apple, pepper, cracker, bread, hay, straw, grass, light funk, and yeast earthiness. Moderate peppery yeast spiciness on the finish; with lingering notes of lemon, peach, passion fruit, melon, pineapple, pear, apple, cracker, bread, hay, straw, grass, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/earthy/spicy yeast and moderate pale malt flavors; with a great malt/spiciness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Light-moderate dryness from carbonation as well. Medium-high carbonation and medium body; with a very smooth, moderately crisp, and lightly creamy/bready balanced mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is a very nice Brett saison. All around good complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/earthy/spicy yeast and moderate pale malt flavors; and very smooth, crisp, and refreshing to drink. A very enjoyable offering.

Easy drinking but not much to this. I guess that’s the point though. Pours hazy orange with OK head. Light sour finish. Some citrus and florals. Tap at Churchkey.
