330mL bottle, pours a deep dark red with a small beige head. Aroma has notes of brown sugar, big chewy caramel malts, and some resinous hops in the background. Flavour has a nice, rich, dry caramel malt base, big bready malts, and plenty of residual bitterness. The hops are there, but don’t contribute hugely to the flavour, just to the aftertaste. Solid malt profile and good balance. Very good imperial red.

330mL bottle. Pours murky dark amber with a small beige head. Rich caramel malts on the nose. Flavour is rich and malty, deep caramel and toffee-like expression, nice burnt sugar bitterness. This is a solid malt-forward ale.

Keg at Tasting Room, Mexico City. Hazy nut brown, mid sized head. Caramelly nose with quality rum. Sweet with full to massive body and rounded, solid mouthfeel. Caramel and rum, notes of cocoa and maple. Mildly warming finish. Sweet, but likeable.

A dark reddish copper brown ale with a thin mocha head. In aroma, sweet fruity caramel and light vinous notes, treacle, light butterscotch, very nice. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity caramel malt with loads of dark fruits, molasses, alcohol warmth, very nice and rich. On tap at 12 Onzas, SJD.

Cloudy reddish-brown. Thin head. Big chewy crystal malt aroma. Soft body, chewy earthy crystal malts with a slight nutty underpinning and a fairly hefty underlying bitterness, tho not a lot of overt hop aromatics.
