On tap at Structures - Holly, pours a deep dark mahogany, almost no head. Nose has plenty of dark dried fruits, caramel, and gentle bourbon. Flavour is quite boozy, bringing out a fair bit of brown sugar, alcoholic heat, not actually that much bourbon, and dark dried fruits. Nearly flat carb. Definitely some nice flavours here but somewhat lacking cohesion. Surprisingly unfocused for these two giants of breweries, but still good.

12oz @ 🏡 shared with Phill (thx for the beer!), Farees, Josh, and Ryan.
Aroma: smells like a Belgian quad - a lot of Belgian esters, some oak, and creamy notes from oak. Hm... 🤔
Taste: a lot of caramel, toffee, dark fruits, moderately sweet, noticeable booze, some light bitterness
Overall: a bit weird mix of quad (65-70%) and barleywine (30-35%), enjoyable ((c) Ryan 🤪).

Light brown. Phenolic. It’s still got that estery, fruity. Loe carbonation. Some sugars, some barrel heat. This one’s a bit unfocused, quad-like. It’s decent but flawed. Aside from the heat, I’m not actually getting much barrel character.
