Keg beer of the month, February 2015.
Why Crow Mother? Well, because Angwusnasomtaka was way complicated to pronounce for us simple folks from Amager.
And then because way too few beers are named after the proud Hopi mythology.

Big beige head. Hazy opaque brown body. Resiny citric earthy aroma with minty notes. Dry resiny orangey taste with earthy notes. Mid-bodied, kind of hollow. Dryish resiny earthy chalky aftertaste with mealy notes. Sold as a dunkel, which it’s not. (0.5l draft at Taphouse, Copenhagen.)

A red-brown beer with a lazing tan head. The aroma has notes of hops, caramel, and bread. The flavor is sweet with notes of bread, malt, and citrus fruits, leading to a bitter finish.

From tap at Mi2 at Cardinal 15.06.15. Dark brown, Foamy and persistent pale brown head. Firstl an unappealing aroma of public squat toilets that havn’t been cleaned for months. Also some malt. Aroma gets better after the beer has stayed in the glass for a while. Fine taste, with citrus and dark malt i harmony, Grapefruit and liquorice in aftertaste.

On tap at Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. Black colour, moderate beige head. Though technically a Schwarzbier, Crow Mother smells and tastes more like a sessionable Black IPA, thanks to the Simcoe and Amarillo hops. Aroma of fruity, piney and spicy hops, Moderate roasty notes too. Fairly light bodied. The medium dry flavour is also well hopped throughout, but far from extreme. Moderate roasty notes.
