Can (5/15/24) pour. Lightly hazy, honey brown with light sparkle, thin head with fair retention and no lacing. Aroma is sweet malt, honey and herb reminiscent of Christmas spice. Taste follows aroma with stronger spice. Smooth texture, flat carbonation and finish as taste. Age has likely killed the hops and doesn’t taste like Basil. Hard to know how reflective this is.

Pour is a clear amber with a large white head. Aroma is pretty much all basil. No real malt or hop but plenty of basil in spades. Flavor is again all basil with the hops and malt covered up by all the basil used. While basil gives the beer something different this is a one trick pony with the basil covering up any other flavor component.

Can at the DC Local Gathering on 8/1/2015. Hazy golden yellow. Aromas of floral notes, caramel. Tastes of floral notes, light pine, malt. Medium-light body with a dry finish.

16oz can pours a clear orange with some cloudy, white head. Nose has plenty of rosemary and honey, basil too, perfume, some raisin. Flavor follows, sweet honey, orange, raisin, some melon, plenty of herbs, hand soap. Oily finish.

16 oz can. Poured a clear golden yellow color with pretty much no head to speak of. Light bubbles. Aroma was immediately like pizza, basil, etc. Herbal notes, light honey mead finish. Interesting.

Some ginger here and a little straw and paper. Not much else. Pours golden with OK head. Tall can at tasting.
