Christmas is exactly a week away so I’m cracking of the two Christmas releases from Vertere.

Vertere Christmas Beer 2025
Grisette w Honey Basil 4.5%

It’s a lovely matte gold with thick eggshell white foam which doesn’t last all that long. The aroma is a sulfury saison. It’s medium bodied with a lightly spritzy carbonation.

Honestly at first, I found it a bit humdrum but it grew on me and by the end I could really get the basil and saison notes.

Pretty good.
