A Victorian Mild. A beer style revived from the British brewing annals. The higher alcohol content is a reflection of traditions prior to wartime taxation on grain.
With our heritage barley, we have something close to the landrace varieties used at the time. Highly kilned speciality malts and brewing sugar make for a dark beer with suggestions of dried dark fruit, caramel, liquorice and burdock.

440ml can. Slightly hazed dark ruby with a beige head. Aroma of dark fruits, caramel, malt loaf. Taste is sweet and malty, malt loaf, caramel, dark fruits, liquorice, a little chocolate. Medium bodied.
Very nice example of the style, reminiscent of Boxcar's.
