Panela is the result of our collaboration with the exceptional Pura Panela, a Sheffield-based company specialising in sourcing authentic panela from Colombia. This natural, dehydrated sugarcane juice is produced through a rustic, artisanal process, giving it a rich and distinctive character.
We’ve combined this incredible ingredient with high-quality Colombian coffee and added both to our Classic Porter recipe. The result is a complex, multi-layered beer with a truly phenomenal flavour profile.
Keep an eye out for Panela pouring throughout December.
Note Can Version is at higher 7% ABV.

Cask at The Star & Garter, Bromley. Smoky coffee nose, some dark chocolate, raisin, cocoa. Taste is a rich flavoursome mix of the above. Smoky sweet aftertaste. Great stuff.

Dark brown with a creamy tan head and a chocolate and coffee aroma. Smooth and silky, roasted malt, espresso coffee and a touch of chocolate, dry and bitter finish.

Cask at the Colmore Tap, Birmingham on 12th December 2025. Deep ruby brown with shallow tan foam and spot lacing. Spicy roasted malts dominate all phases of imbibing. Notes of savoury spices and herbal grasses compete with dark chocolate and cafetière coffee. Finish becomes bitter. A smooth mouthfeel and a medium body. Interesting!
