The longer the table, the more room for friends. This season, our new Long Table Farmhouse Ale is the best excuse to pull up a chair with your closest companions for a few rounds. An ode to the bucolic, table-friendly Belgian saison, we’ve added a delightfully new hoppy spin to the style, creating a sip that whisks a taste of the tropics into the Old World. Traditional grains of Munich, pale malt and rye lend a wash of toasty, spicy bread, while exotic Nelson Sauvin and citrusy Chinook hops buoy the juicy fruit flavors of our Belgian yeast. So gather around and get ready to hoist this spritz complex farmhouse ale amongst the company of friends.

12oz bottle. Nice hazy greenish-yellow-tan head. Peppery, herbal aroma. The hops give it a nice balance. Drinks a little bit big and malty for me still, so more US than Belgian. The flavor profile is nice, but I would have loved to see this about 2% lower in ABV. The overbearing body makes it a chore to drink for me, even though i like the taste. OKish.

Bottle: Clear gold with a tall, off-white head. Very pleasant spiced rye, light fruit, yeast aroma. Taste is sweet, rye malt, grains, citrus, white pepper. Not particularly funky per style, but a really nice flavour....and a great aroma.

On Tap Hazy yelow light range. Full fne off white head. Claccic soft spicy wheaty aroma. Rather hoppy flavors, nearly a pale ale. Kind of a cross over. Tasty and fresh.

12 ounce bottle into signature globe glass, best before 12/6/2015. Pours slightly hazy golden yellow color with a 1-2 finger dense white head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings around the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of lemon, orange, pear, apple, light banana/bubblegum, pepper, clove, toasted biscuit, herbal, grass, and yeast earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of fruity/spicy yeast and bready malt notes; with solid strength. Taste of lemon, orange, pear, apple, light banana/bubblegum, pepper, clove, toasted biscuit, herbal, grass, and yeast earthiness. Moderate earthy yeast spiciness on the finish; with lingering notes of lemon, orange, pear, apple, light banana/bubblegum, pepper, clove, toasted biscuit, and herbal/yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/spicy yeast and bready malt flavors; with a great malt/spiciness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, fairly crisp, and lightly creamy/bready/sticky mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming lingering after the finish. Overall this is a very nice saison style. All around good complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/spicy yeast and bready malt flavors; and very smooth and crisp to drink for the ABV. A very enjoyable offering.

Lightly hazy gold - not really a saison - I’d go with Belgian ale, but even then not the best example of that - smells of white frosting, grain/wheat, light pepper - taste is rather sweet - despite being fairly light, it is still rather syrupy in texture - slightly medicinal character - bready malt and mild huskiness - finish is sweet and overly spicy - not good - and I bought a whole six pack - go me.

Pour is a pale lager clear gold with a large white head. Aroma is pretty good dose of saison yeasty esters and a bit of vanilla. Flavor is plenty estery and floral with some white grapes and some sugary bubble gum sweetness. Finish is a very small tartness with a nice fruit ester left on the tongue. Pretty good for a mass produced saison and I’m glad I bought a six pack of it instead of a single.

12 oz bottle from a six pack bought at Super 1 in CDA, ID. Aroma is peppery, earthy, banana, chalky, doughy, biscuity, cheesy, dusty. Pours clear golden with a medium white head with good retention; laces a little. Taste is dry, earthy, peppery, clove, cheese, dust; kind of numbing, like Vicks. Body is medium, mouthfeel creamy. I like it.
