The longer the table, the more room for friends. This season, our new Long Table Farmhouse Ale is the best excuse to pull up a chair with your closest companions for a few rounds. An ode to the bucolic, table-friendly Belgian saison, we’ve added a delightfully new hoppy spin to the style, creating a sip that whisks a taste of the tropics into the Old World. Traditional grains of Munich, pale malt and rye lend a wash of toasty, spicy bread, while exotic Nelson Sauvin and citrusy Chinook hops buoy the juicy fruit flavors of our Belgian yeast. So gather around and get ready to hoist this spritz complex farmhouse ale amongst the company of friends.

Bottle. It seems that trends come and go. I seem to remember several years ago Doppelbocks were the big thing. Then came IPAs, Pumpkin Ales and now we have Saisons. Seems everyone’s doing one now. That’s ok, I don’t mind them. This one is golden in color with a medium head. Aroma is fruity, banana and spice. Taste is similar with a slightly sweet upfront taste and spicy fruit finish.

Sampled at the brewery, 11/24/15. Mostly clear golden orange color with a frothy white head and nice lacing. Peppery Saison yeast dominates the aroma and flavor with some clean fruitiness underneath. Medium bodied with a tingly finish. Nice spice forward Saison.

Clear and pale. First taste does not show its 6%. Yes some kick but its quite refreshing. Good co2. Jack Lambert on my Steeler pint glass says he’s OK with it.

This pours a slightly hazy straw gold with an inch of foam that shrinks ever so slowly.
The smell is yeasty, spicy, earthy.
Yeasty taste with spicy notes from the rye grain. Quite hoppy as well with a light level of bitterness.
Very smooth mouthfeel and this is very drinkable for me.
Long Table is a nice drop.

12oz bottle pours up with a near clear gold to copper body that supports a white head of foam. The aroma offers up cotton, banana, cloves and honey sweetness with a dash of yeastiness in the background. A farmhouse, I don’t think so. The taste is soft and sweet and sluggish with sweet sugary malts, sweet banana and then clove and spicy yeast notes. Wow. Too damn sweet and lathergic. What is this?

Slightly hazy light gold with a white head and lace. The aroma is fruity, a bit vinous and yeasty esters. The flavor is lightly sweet and fruity with some vinous acidity. Ok, simple uncomplicated Saison.
