At brewery. Dark burnt gold and foamy head. Nose is rich coffee and vanilla. Blonde ale base mode just vehicle for above flavors. But all in great balanced. Oddly hit the spot.

On tap at Wooden Robot, pours a clear copper golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out earthy coffee and vanilla upfront, with light biscuity malt. Flavour is along the same line, with fairly gentle coffee and vanilla upfront. Pleasant enough, but nothing special. Okay.

Sample at the brewpub. Hazy amber color with a medium off-white head that diminishes steadily to a film. Strings of lace. The aroma consists of coffee, vanilla and malt. Light-bodied with flavors of roasted coffee, vanilla and bready malt. The finish is sweet with a vanilla coffee aftertaste. Decent overall.
