6.39
ABV: 11.0% IBU: - Ticks: 1
The sequel to last year’s Peregrination, this version is slightly darker and more mature, as its namesake suggests. Heavily aged in dark rum barrels for 10 months, no adjuncts were needed to bring out the sticky toffee notes and chocolate accents. (contains lactose)

500mL bottle from the brewery drunk 12/22/25, as pictured.
Uh oh, this smells pretty "beany". Like old, overly roasty coffee beans mixed with wet cardboard. Wouldn't guess rum barrel, nor really much barrel of any type. Some alcohol with a bit of chocolate and light glue. Not very inviting...
Finally a touch of rum spice and brown sugar on the very end, with warming/breathing.
Woah, what the hell is this.....it's like...malted milk balls and creamy, intense, sweetened heavy cream or condensed milk. Think they used enough lactose??! Not quite syrupy-sweet, but very sweet and soft and sugary/creamy. Intense lactose character with huge sweet cream. Light caramel and light chocolate mixing with an afterthought of alcohol and barrel. Some light, stale coffee bean and wet cardboard at the very end. Maybe a bit of coconut rum. Whatever the case, it's much too sweet and needs more barrel spice/warmth/dryness. Can only drink a few sips before the intense half-and-half/condense milk begins to massively cloy.
