Cold IPA

Freezing Point is sharp, dry and cold-fermented – a Cold IPA in its purest form. Citra, Idaho 7 and Citra Cryo deliver bright citrus and tropical aromas, while the base of Pilsner malt and puffed rice keeps the body crisp, light and refreshing.

Cold IPA is a modern beer style bridging the gap between hazy hop-forward ales and the clean precision of lager brewing. With Freezing Point we embraced this style to the fullest. The beer is fermented cold for a clean finish, enhancing drinkability and sharpening hop expression. The malt bill is kept deliberately light – built from Pilsner malt and torrefied rice flakes – giving the beer a dry, crisp character that lets the hops shine. On the hop side, we combined Citra, Idaho 7 and Citra Cryo to create an aromatic profile bursting with citrus zest, stone fruits, tropical notes and a subtle dank edge. The result is a beer that feels refreshing, clean and punchy – offering the bold aroma of a modern IPA with the sharp finish of a well-lagered beer. Freezing Point is made for those who crave hops but appreciate clarity, crispness and structure. Cold IPA done right.

Hops used: Amarillo, Citra, Idaho 7, Citra Cryo

Can from Base Camp. Clear golden body, off-white head, medium body. Some vague berry, maybe citric notes, bit perfumey, light sulfur. Lean, dry taste, sweetish, bit woody, lightly citric maybe, wouldn't call it dank, but the bitterness is well integrated, smooth somewhat, but crisp enough. Another Cold IPA where they kinda got the body okay, but missed the hop profile.
