A beefed up version of our favorite imperial stout (Drakonic), brewed specifically to be barrel aged. Tons of layered malt aromas and flavors of dark fruit and chocolate balance out its insane 12.9% abv. This beer is aged for a year in St George Single Malt barrels which imparts a ton of vanilla with a slight coconut aromatics to the beer. This beer is a monster, 100% barrel aged limited release.

Sample (thanks omhper!). Black colour, small brown colour. Aroma is coconut, some chocolate chips and mild cinnamon. Flavour is chocolate, some coconut, mild cinnamon as well as some slight syrupy tones. Hides alcohol really well.

--Bottled, from Systembolaget. -- Black, small head. Aroma of coconut, caramel and cinnamon. Sweet with full body and rounded mouthfeel. Caremel and brown sugar, coconut and cinnamon. Warming finish.

On tap at Titans (Tokyo), pours black with a small beige head. Aroma is loaded with rich amburana wood, followed by dark sugars and light roast. Flavour is wonderful, with complex as hell amburana wood, booze, some dark sugars, and a little roast. That amburana… man. So much better than the base beer. Very tasty.

Draft. Black beer with a tan head. Caramel and light chocolate aroma. Chocolate and caramel flavor with light molasses and light oak. Medium-plus bodied. Chocolate and caramel linger with light molasses and light oak.

Not going to pass up a beer with amburana, as that's probably my favourite wood finish. Dark brown, no head. Aroma is molasses and a bit of coffee. Lots of dark sugars, molasses, some oatmeal raisin cookie stuff. I like it but I don’t get the amburana and I wish I did.
