355ml bottle. (6.3% ABV) Pours a clear red-brown with a small, short lived, off-white head that laces. Sweet aroma of caramel malt, roasted nuts and a hint of smoke. Sweet flavour of roasted malt, toffee, bread and nuts with light peat in a mildly bitter finish. Light to medium body with a thin almost watery texture and soft carbonation. Ok.

It pours a deep reddish brown with a finger’s worth of foam.

The nose is mild but I do get some caramel malt, grain, and a bit of fruit. And some smoke.

Overall, I get a mixed bag of sweet and bitter in the taste. The fruitiness is kind of weird but I like it. Slight smoke..more of it and that seems to turn me off the style so I’m glad it’s slight.

Hmm...I really have very few of the style that I have a liking for and this one gets not so good reviews. Oh well.

Tap: Pours a brownish copper color with a large, fluffy beige head. Mild aroma is mostly malts, some faint dirty florals, and a little grass. Taste is lager malt, grass, and lightly earthy. Just enough florals to keep it from being one-dimensional. Nothing to get excited about.
