(Keg, a sample, at Gallow's Bird Tapiola, 20251226) The beer poured black. Its head was tiny and almost white. Aroma had toasted malts, raisins, vanilla, whisky and wood. Palate was full bodied and warming with medium carbonation. Flavours were toasted malts, raisins, wood, vanilla, whisky, earth and bitterness. Aftertaste had toasted malts, wood and bitterness. A tasty barrel ageing of this beer.

Heavy, sweetish, malty and caramely with loads of toffee, oaky woodiness, hints of syrup, brown sugar, whiskey, vanilla and hints of prunes. Pretty balanced and tasty.
