Tap at Assawoman brewery. Cloudy white-ish pale. Mild nose of lemon & pineapple. Good tart intital taste, was thinking it was a real lambic. Nice cutting co2 as well. Good stuff. Tad of leather deep down inside. Yes, quite a tasty drink. This beer ROCKS! Great job BO!

Sampled on draft this beer poured a murky yellow-peach color with a medium sized foamy off white head that faded and left minimal lacing. The aroma was tart and sour with notes of pineapple, grapefruit and lemon. The flavor was tart and sour with grapefruit and pineapple. Very long finish. Medium body. Well done.

Poured from a 12 oz can dated 02/15/2017. Aroma is very hoppy with nice pineapple, mango and passion fruit notes as well as some guava, melon and mandarin. Light resinous notes with some lemon citrus notes from the acidity and some hints of grain. Pours a hazy, dull golden straw color with a small, thin white head that recedes immediately to the edges where a faint film lingers for just a bit before disappearing. No lacing or legs. Flavor is somewhat acidic with some light grain and wheat notes and a touch of sweetness. Light bitterness with moderately strong hop notes. Really solid tropical fruit notes with pineapple being most prevalent. Lighter mango, passion fruit, melon and guava with some citrus notes as well. Mouthfeel is light bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, a really nice dry hopped berliner. I really love this style of beer and wish more breweries did them. The acidity really accentuates the fruitiness of the hops.

12oz can at Rose’s Luxury in Washington DC. Poured a hazy yellow color, small, slightly creamy, slightly foamy off-white head. Aroma was lots of pleasant floral notes, light herbal character. Citrus zest. Light acid, tart character is pleasant. Slight dry hopping detected, though wife actually didn’t mind the hop presence. Tasty.

12oz can pours a hazy yellow with a ring of soft white head. Nose has a blend of lemon and kumquat, straw, vitamin C. Flavor is huge with citrus, white grapefruit, lemon peel, a little pickle juice, straw, a little tart pineapple juice. Finishes acetic and salty. Very interesting.

Pours hazy straw into a shaker. Bright white head with medium retention recedes to bubble surface. Marshmallow and lactic funk aromas. Marshmallow and tart Trix upfront turning to lasting sweet sourdough and corn in the lasting finish. Really is reminiscent of a fruit cereal, but that makes it sort of fun.

Got in a BIF from oline73. 12 ounce can into tulip glass, canned on 9/1/2016. Pours hazy golden straw color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense and fluffy white head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Light spotty lacing clings around the glass. Aromas of big tart/sour lemon, lime, grapefruit, guava, passion fruit, pineapple, papaya, green apple, white grape, wheat, cracker, bread, hay, straw, grass, light lacto funk, and floral/yeast earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of citrus/tropical hops, fruity/acidic yeast, and pale malt notes; with great strength. Flavors of huge tart/sour lemon, lime, grapefruit, guava, passion fruit, pineapple, papaya, green apple, white grape, wheat, cracker, bread, hay, straw, grass, light lacto funk, and floral/yeast earthiness. Moderate tart/sourness and light peppery yeast spice on the finish; with lingering notes of sour lemon, lime, grapefruit, guava, passion fruit, pineapple, papaya, green apple, white grape, wheat, cracker, bread, hay, straw, and floral/yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Fantastic complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/tropical hops, fruity/acidic yeast, and pale malt flavors; with a great malt/tart/sourness balance, and zero astringent flavors after the finish. Light-moderate dryness from acidity as well. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately acidic/creamy/grainy, and lightly crisp balanced mouthfeel that is awesome. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 4.4%. Overall this is an outstanding Berliner weisse! All around awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/tropical hops, fruity/acidic yeast, and pale malt flavors; very smooth and refreshing to drink with the balanced acidity. A highly enjoyable offering.
