Fles thuis geprobeerd met LiekevdV. Het is een diep donkerbruin tot zwart bier met een volle bruinige schuimkraag. Het heeft een aroma van gebrande mout, rook en turf. De smaak is vol gebrande mout, chocolade, rook en whisky.

0.33 l bottle from 'SpeciaalBierPakket.nl', bottled in October 2025. Pitch black with a thin, dense, slowly diminishing, light brown head. Sweetish-malty, rather smoky-medicinal, roasty and slightly fruity aroma of peat, iodine, hard roasted coffee, ink, dark chocolate, bourbon and traces of vanilla. Fairly sweet, malty, rather roasty-bitter, very smoky-medicinal and slightly fruity taste of dark chocolate, hard roasted coffee, licorice, ink, peat, iodine, fruity bourbon and hints of vanilla, followed by a long, quite roasty-bitter, a bit salty and a little boozy finish. Full body, smooth and slightly oily mouthfeel, very soft carbonation. Very rich, intense and saturating brew, high complexity, superb balance and mouthfeel. I'd almost say classic De Molen stuff, absolutely top notch, right up my alley.
