22oz bottle pours a murky black with a ring of beige head. Nose of malt, toast, coffee grounds, molasses. Flavor is solid, coffee beans, molasses, licorice, malt, brown sugar, toast. Full bodied, lightly sugary finish.

Bottle at the DC Expanded Sour Tasting. Poured a very dark brown, light black color with a tan head. Aroma was lots of roasted malts, bitter dark chocolate. Light roasted flavor, chocolate. Touch of vanilla, wood, bourbon notes.

Bottle. Clear brown color, tan edge head. Aroma of boozy chocolate and butterscotch brownies. Taste is bourbon and cocoa. Decent.

Draft at the brewery. Pours a dark brown color with a medium sized creamy brown head. Good head retention. Aroma of big bourbon and wood notes, roasted malts, anise, mint, chocolate. The taste is huge wood notes, mint, bourbon, roasted malts, tart fruits. Medium bodied, slight lingering bitterness. Seems like this picked up too much barrel character.
