Once a year, homebrewers are encouraged to send us their best brews. This time was the fourth time we invite a homebrewer to join us and Siren for a collaborative brew. Dave Strachan submitted a beautiful coconut Porter and so we decided to play along on that theme. Brewed with maple syrup and aromas.

Bottle shared thanks to sjogro!! Congrats with the 5000th rating bro! Pitch black with very small very dark brown head. Creamy thick roast, huge maple, vanilla, lots of toffee and fudge, light coconut, sugar, dark chocolate, thick icecream notes. Quite sweet and medium bitter. Full creamy body. Very nice!

(On tap @ MBCC 2017 Yellow Session, Copenhagen) Pours black with a small brown head. Notes are of almost ludicrously hyper-concentrated maple syrup and fudge, molasses, dark chocolate, coconut, vanilla, soft bourbon, coffee-like roast, pungent on the nose and lush on the palate, sweet but surprisingly un-cloying as it hits the tongue, with an unexpected level of drying by the finish. Ends with long lasting notes of maple, coconut, fudge, bitter coffee and oak. Full bodied and oily in the mouth, with soft carbonation and no alcohol. Phenomenal stuff, on another level from the base beer. The best Omnipollo stout I've had to date, a distillation of all the things they've got right about pastry stouts without the pitfalls.

Bottle thanks to Russell. Pours black with small tan head that diminishes to nothing. The aroma is strong maple, vanilla, fudge, wood, bourbon. Slick body, milk chocolate, caramel, vanilla, oak, bourbon, light roast finish, nice sweetness, enjoyed this.

Thick, black colored, thin non lasting dark tan head, nothing remains. Aroma is of coconut, roasted malt and dark chocolate, maple, caramel, toast, vanilla, some oaky notes, light alcohol. Taste is medium to very sweet malt, caramel, roasted and dark chocolate, nutella, some coconut, toasted notes, maple, vanilla oaky notes, light alcohol touch, medium bitterness. Full bodied, soft carbonation, creamy. So good and so easily drinkable! Amazing! (bottle, Hoppiness, Koper)

Bottle, 0.33l. Aroma of coconut, maple syrup, toasted malt and caramel. Pours pitch black with thin quickly diminishing dark brown head and average sparkling appearance. Taste starts with sweet roasted malt and licorice, follows by caramel, toasted malt, coconut and burnt sugar, mouthfeel is warming and alcoholic, while finish is mild bitter. Full body, sticky texture and average carbonation in palate. Not my favorite poem, but certainly one of the best imperial porters so far...

330ml bottle from Kihoskh. Vertical with regular version. Pours pitch black with a brown head. Aroma of bourbon, maple syrup, syrup, toffee, vanilla, roastiness, chocolate and cocoa. Taste is sweet, syrupy and heavy with loads of maple syrup, toffee, vanilla, chocolate and cocoa. Finish is sweet, syrupy and roasty with loads of maple syrup, hints of bourbon, vanilla, oak, wood and toffee. Massive. Sweet. Heavy. A total maple syrup overdose.

Shared 33cl bottle. Pours almost black with a tan head. Aroma of maple syrup, vanilla, traces of coconut. Taste is maple syrups, roasted malt, vanilla, coconut, chocolate, toffee, booze. Intense. Finish is much sweeter than I'd prefer. Definitely a dessert beer.
