Once a year, homebrewers are encouraged to send us their best brews. This time was the fourth time we invite a homebrewer to join us and Siren for a collaborative brew. Dave Strachan submitted a beautiful coconut Porter and so we decided to play along on that theme. Brewed with maple syrup and aromas.

Bottle. Many thanks to Northern Monk Andrey for this. Not far off black. Slim ring of tan. Nose has toasted coconut. Quality chocolate. Booze steeped vine fruits. Vanilla biscuit. Vanilla oak. Chocolate ice cream. Wow. Smells fantastic. Taste is dark chocolate sweet. Rich cocoa bitterness. Some boozy esters. Slick and creamy smooth mouthfeel. Perfectly pitched, soft carbonation. Rich, slick, bittersweet chocolate, coconut cocktail, finish. The base beer was a little harsh, maybe, but the barrel aging here has worked wonders. Awesome.

Bottle at home. Pours black, nose is huge maple syrup, dark sugar, coconut, chocolate, caramel, taste is sweet, sugary maple syrup, roasted, quite hot.

RB Odense Summer Gathering 2017. Black with a small off-white head. Aroma of chocolate and licorice, maple syrup and brun lakridskonfekt. Cloying sweet chocolate, vanilla and marshmallow flavour with a hint of dark beer.

Multiple glasses @ Gollem: Omnipollo Craft Beer Madness. Black with little very dark mocha head. Nose is pure ridiculousness, pure mocha ice cream, chocolate ice cream, mocha, sweet, massive maple, sugar, candy,... Body is insanely thick pure molasses syrup booze, warming condensed milk with chocolate syrup, cacao, mocha, warming chocolate, mocha, ice cream, more maple,... Comparable to other Omnipollo RIS but a bit thicker, sweeter, maple heavy,... Ridiculous beer,... No coconut whatsover but still the best together with the regular one what as far the best I have had from Omnipollo goes.Ridiculous overkill stuff. I can still taste this sludge.

Bottle at tasting. Black oil. Aroma of tiramisu, chocolate, cacao powder, caramel and vanilla. Taste has lots of tiramisu, chocolate, cacao powder, caramel, vanilla and mocha. Very delicious.

Pours black, small white head. Smell is maple goodness, dark malts, chocolat. Taste is very intense, dark malts , intense roast, dark chocolate. Maple goodness is intense. Aftertaste is sweet. Maple lingers. Awesome. Truly awesome. How good can a beer be ?

Bottle @ Blåbær 2017 release. Grab the train. Pours Black with a creamy beige head. Roast, coconut, maple. Slick and full bodied!

Bottle at NK thanks to Pilsnertest. Aroma is nutty with Nutella, candied sugar and artificial chocolate. Very sweet and syrupy with hazelnut mocha, chocolate and loads of maple syrup. Slightly bitter coffee, maple syrup finish.

Bottled 33 cl at Ölstugan 1892 Tullen Majorna, Göteborg, on June 3, 2017.Black color, brown head. Sweet, ice-cream, coffee, chocolate, maple scent. Sweet, sirup, maple taste. Ice-cream, coffee aftertaste. Warming alcohol. Medium smooth mouthfeel, medium high bitterness.
