Our porter is brewed in the traditional English style. It has a deep brown color and a creamy tan head. The mouth feel is highlighted with soft notes of chocolate and slight undertones of roasted coffee. Hop bitterness is nicely balanced with the malt and hop aroma being very low, typical of the English style.

bottle. Pretty average as porters go - this one definitely on the mild side. Decent

Location: 12 oz bottle from Andy, 8/2/14
Aroma: The aroma is a mix of sweet caramel/toffee, coffee, and roasted malts
Appearance: It pours a muddy brown color with a thin head and quite minimal lace
Flavor: In the flavor the coffee comes out more, while the sweetness mutes a bit compared to the nose
Palate: It has a light-medium body with a smooth, clean feel, soft carbonation, and a roasted finish
Overall Impression: At first I thought this one was going to lean sweet, but the flavor is actually much drier than you'd expect from the nose. It gets a hint watery though, unfortunately, but it is still a pretty solid beer.

tap at the brewpub on Sep 1, 2013 - Pours up a medium amber color. It’s a light color for a porter. The aroma is led by roasted malt and includes some coffee. It tastes of dark roast malt with mild coffee notes. It’s light bodied with a moderately bitter finish. It’s alright though I’d like to see more body and flavor intensity in a porter.

Draft. Deep brown body. Fizzy, beige head, rapidly diminishing. Aroma of roasted malts, milk chocolate, coffee and cream. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes moderately sweet and lightly to moderately bitter. Medium body, watery texture, soft carbonation. A very sweet porter that could use a little more hop balance. Raw grain aftertaste with some metallic notes.
