He will order the best wine on the menu while pulling out a fancy cigar and talking about his house near Cannes. A guy who lives life. He would love this. An imperial oatmeal stout aged on 2 separate barrels, and blended together - Laphroiag and Kentucky Bourbon.

Draft. A black beer with a lazing brown head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt, caramel, and alcohol. The flavor is sweet with notes of roasted malt, caramel, and alcohol, leading to a dry and bitter finish.

Tap @ Copenhagen Beer Celebration, 2016. Pours pitch black with a creamy head and lacings. Roast, wood, ashes and soy. Warmth.

Draught at CBC 2016, Green session. Filmy, tan-coloured head, jet black body with a shade of brown, Spotty lacing. Roasted malty nose with vanilla sweetness. Oak vanilla flavour joined by caramel, wood, and chocolate. Prolonged ending, without being overly sweet. Full bodied. Tasty and nice (Copenhagen 14.05.2016).

Sampled at CBC 2016 - second day. Notes of caramel, chocolate, cocoa and bourbon. Some spiciness and tobacco that I think is from the whiskey barrel. Subtle, though.

Draught@CBC2015 (Blue session). Black colour with a mediumsized brown creamy head. Aroma is roasted malts, mild ashes, liquorice, some alcohol, coffee and chocolate. Flavour is quite similar, but also has some slight vanilla and mild wooden notes to it. Thick, and a quite big impy.

Keg at the 4th Copenhagen Beer Celebration, Session 2, 01/05/2015. Pitch black with a decent tan covering. Nose is liquorice, dark fruit rinds, spice, toffee fudge, charr. Taste comprises chocolate, dark fruit rinds, fruit cake, spice, hint of vanilla, bourbon wood and subtle peat, trace of coffee. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, drying roasted close. Decent enough BA impy, subtle on the Laphroiag.

Draught @ CBC 2015 [ Blue Session ]. - Copenhagen Beer Celebration 2015, Sparta Hallen, Gunnar Nu Hansens Plads 11, 2100 Copenhagen, Denmark [ As Alpha State Levemand (Laphroiag and Kentucky Bourbon BA Blend) ].Clear dark brown color with a small to average, frothy, good lacing, mostly diminishing, beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, chocolate, wood, smoke, chocolate - vanilla. Flavor is moderate to light heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a long duration, roasted, sweet malt, smoke - wood, chocolate - vanilla. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20150501]
