Nothing is more evocative of summer than the beautiful aroma of flowers, and the favored flowers of brewers are hops. Our brand new summer ale, Fleur de Houblon (Hop Flowers), is brewed to bring the many elements of summer into a refreshing and easy-to-drink Belgian-style ale.
Fleur de Houblon is a rich gold color with distinct floral hops in the aroma that follow through in the taste. Whole-cone Bravo hops are used to impart their earthy, fruity, and floral aromas and flavors. The body and flavor are clean and dry, with pleasing complexity and spicy notes from both primary and secondary fermentation with our unique Ommegang house yeast.

Bottled unto tulip. Golden amber pour. Nice white head. Very floral and yeasty funk. Interesting but I prefer the iron throne blonde.

Bottle at home in Hackney - picked up in the US. Pours totally clear honey gold with a frothy, white head that settles into a cream. Holds moderate sweetness, a little alcohol, dried biscuits and grains, lemon peel, subtle yeast expression. Medium bodied with active carbonation. Nicely balanced finish, with more notes of citrus peel, biscuits, wheat, nips of grass and yeast. Highly drinkable.

$2.79 bottle from Market Street Wine Shop, Downtown. Pours hazy golden with a massive soft off-white head. Yummy floral aroma - spring flowers, along with banana and spice. Flavor is slightly sweet rose water, banana, more flowers - violets even. Some lemon, some fun, some deliciousness. Damn this is nice.

12 ounce bottle. Pours a hazy honey gold color. Large rocky white head with clinging lace. Floral fresh hop aroma. Yeasty notes as well. Bready, sweet citrus malt flavor upfront. A touch of bitter lemon peel in middle. Dryish, spicy hop notes in finish. Well balanced and refreshing.
