Wheat IPA named in honor of Orioles Hall of Famer Eddie Murray.

After spending the cold winter training our palettes on malty winter brews its time to get out on the field and play some ball with an IPA that’s both refreshing and complex. The lemony-herbal aromatics of Sorachi Ace hops spring out of a nice, light bodied wheat & honey malt base. You can always rely on a solid hit from Steady Eddie.

Tap into a snifter showing well filtered yellow with sparse white foam. The nose shows light notes of banana. The palate is perfectly carbonated and light bodied. Good malt balance and very light bitterness on the finish. Not terribly interesting

4oz draft pour at the sneak peak before the Union 4th Anniversary Party. Poured a slightly hazy yellow color with a small white head. I got a lot of green onion in this one on the aroma, with some light grass clippings. Okay, but doesn’t come together like I had hoped it would. Bitter and while it is crisp, it lacks a certain something.

Sample while checking out the expo at HomeBrewCon. Slightly hazy light yellow in color with a decent sized off white head. Spicy earthy with a cereal and bready malt to counter. Nice wipa.

12oz can pours a hazy gold with some creamy white head. Nose has corn and malt and a little vanilla. Flavor is not good, corn and malt and touches of watered down Jameson at the end. Gross.

Thanks Bobby (aka Bobbed on untapped).
Mentioning the canning date because this bad boy held up like a champ.
03/23/16.
This was poured into a becher pint glass.
The appearance had a slight cloudy off color yellow haze to it with a one finger white foamy head that dissipated nicely. One ring of white foamy lacing rims around the glass.
The smell takes in white pepper, crisp lemon, sweet wheat, sweet grass, honey, light tropical fruits - leans towards more papaya as it warms.
The taste pretty much rubs the white pepper into the lemon to wheat sweetness. Starts to sharpen in the aftertaste almost making it non-existent. Quick dry finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a nice crisp sweet sessionability about it. Carbonation seems to hit decently.
Overall, damn nice AIPA or white IPA, not sure, but whatever its supposed to be, I thought it was absolutely wonderful and even held up from the date. Would love to have again preferably with some grilled swordfish steak. Would be awesome.

Growler shared by maniac at Slutfest 5, 4/25/15. Clear golden, thin fizzy tan head, good retention. Aroma of doughy malt, floral hops, wheat, melted vanilla ice cream. The taste is bitter citrus, piney hops, pale wheat. Medium bodied, mild lingering bitterness, low carbonation.

Easy drinking IPA. Pours blonde with OK head and lacing. Light bitter finish. Mostly a piny mint kind of aroma. Tap at Glens.

Rerate at the brewery, much cleaner light sweaty tropical, pleasant. Backlog rating from 2015 at the brewery. Fresh hop nose. Hazy golden, offwhite cream. Somewhat muddled fermented fruit and citric hop amalgam , sulphur and rubber off flavor. A shame after a promising start.
