We continued our partnership with the Wort Hogs Homebrew Club to bring you Golden Hog, a Wild Belgian-style Ale. This beer bridges a Belgian-style Tripel grain bill with American hops. We fused these styles in this ale by using a wild American yeast we isolated ourselves! An alliance of citrusy American hops, Pale and Crystal malts, and a luscious wild yeast.

Draft. Hazy golden color, medium white head. Aroma of citrus and tropical fruit. Taste is boozy with lots of fruity esters. Tasty.

On tap at the brewery, pours a murky gold with some murky, sticky white head. Nose has an interesting mix of tropical fruit and citrus, pineapple, some coriander, lemon rind, kumquat, mild candy, white grape. Flavor has a lot of soap and lemon, kumquat, some under ripe tomato, mild candy, white peppercorn, a little acetic acid lurking. Full bodied.

Draft at the brewery. Poured a hazy golden color with a medium sized white head. Aroma was curacao orange peel, zesty citrus, light wheat. Interesting. A bit heavy on the alcohol, but still tasty.
