A rich dark amber beer with full-flavored, smooth taste nicely accented with satisfying notes of roasted malt and subtle bottom fermenting yeast tones.

On a flight at the Rock-In Bar (inside Whole Foods, Laguna Niguel) on 26th June 2024. Never knowingly seen this in Europe and I try and go to Germany once every two years or so. Anyway I am pleased to have found it here in California. Clean and clear dark amber with a slight red hue, off-white crown. Semi-sweet malty front which carries on throughout, it's an easy drinking Dunkel.

Bought locally, part of the mixed variety pack, best by August 2nd 2024.
It pours a clear deep amber/brown with a rather large head of foam that shrinks to a fine layer, good lacing.
The smell is roasty with chocolate, hints of coffee, grain, just smells really malty with minimal bitterness.
The taste is roasty, dark chocolate, grain, an ample amount of bitterness that doesn't overwhelm the other flavours.
Good medium body.
Lots of flavour packed in this 4.8%abv brew!

Pours a rich brown from a bottle. Roasty malt aroma but rather light, similar flavor. Pretty good beer.

Pint at Midlands pours a clear rootbeer brown with some clumpy off white head. Nose has malt, some dried dark fruit, date mostly, clove, some yeast, soggy bread. Flavor is soggy bread, caramel, clove, chewed bubblegum, raisin. Bang on for style. Off dry finish.

Pours dark brown with a thin creme head. Aroma of caramel malt. Taste has sweetened malt notes, light coffee, toffee, toasted. Palate is watery, lingering roasted coffee notes, roasted malt on the nose. Good.

Balance of caramel and malt sweetness with slight toffee and coffee flavor. Smooth, without bitterness. Easy drinking for a dark beer.
