Bottle shared by Johnny. Unclear dark brown color, medium to full sized off-white to beige head that lasts for quite a while. Aroma is delicious: malts, caramel, bourbon, brown candy sugar. Flavor is malts, bourbon clearly in the flavor as well, a nice caramelized sugary note that's lightly sweet and contrasts with a soft underlying malt bitter note. Light booze hint in the aftertaste after swallowing. Texture is a bit thin, but overall a decent body and suitable carbonation. Not bad. -- Update after half the bottle: the flavor and carbonation fade away quickly. Down from 7.6 to 7.3

My overly sensitive whisky barrel sense is ticking a little on overdrive here. Light raisin still present. At the end of the day the beer is a little better with the barrel. Light boozy sweet finish. Tap at Churchkey.

Draft at Churchkey. Clear ruby maroon color, bright tan edge head. Aroma of bourbon, dark fruit. Taste is fruity bourbon. More bourbon than beer, but smooth and drinkable.

4 oz pour on draft at ChurchKey during the Old Ox DC Debut event. Clear dark amber with beige ring around the glass. Aromas of sweet bourbon up front and some light coconut. Tastes of bourbon, banana, spices, caramel. Medium-light body with a dry and warm finish. Solid attempt.
