From our very inception, Julius has been a constant within our brewery, endlessly refined while never losing its unique allure. An intense focus on consistency has been a sturdy foundation when amplifying its character in beers such as this. Searching for new expressions of the beers we love most is an enduring effort at Tree House. We hope you enjoy the same spark of discovery with every sip.

Canned 1/8/26, from Chalumeaux, drunk 2/17/26. Thanks, TJ!
Big lychee-pear-pineapple with the fleshy melon noted in Focus on the Light. To be fair, it smells an awful lot like Focus on the Light and not much like something Juliusesque. That said, there's more of the graham cracker-like maltiness and a bit more orange and mango that I associate with Julius. Some sweet mandarin and maybe a speck of alcohol on the very end.
Whew, sharp, peppery alcohol initially before being settled by the rich malt. But it's lingering on to the finish and kind of ruining the potential brightness/interesting hop character. Almost like someone stirred a shot of vodka in to this beer...Getting some of the caramel/graham cracker of the Julius malt base, and there's some fruity mango and bitter orange, but it's all miserably pushed to the background to make way for this noxious alcohol character.
I know Tree House is relatively new at the 10%+ IPA game, so I'm giving them some grace while they work it out.

Pours a hazy, muddy-caramel (or butterscotch) color, with big, thick head. Aroma is very bright, juicy combo of citrus and tropical fruits. Flavor follows, but with a rather sickly sweetness underlying, and some alcohol-burn. Soft mouthfeel. Mild levels of hop bitterness in the finish. Still some work to do in perfecting the quad...
**Update: 1/28/26**Can does indicate this is a quad IPA, but I guess it doesn't meet Brewver's standards for ABV. This second can is much better than the first one I had. The alcohol burn isn't really a factor this time out. Nice juicy combo of citrus and tropical fruit in aroma and flavor.
Thick, juicy, candied citrus, soft, clean, loads of flavor, mild bitterness with notes of alcohol.
