Organic Stout brewed in a collaboration between Ørbæk Brewery and Nyborg Distillery. Our Symbiostout is a delicious Stout made in our 20hl cast iron brewhouse at the brewery, which dates back to the early 1900s. After fermentation, we added organic Fionia Coffee Liqueur from Nyborg Distillery. Finally, the beer was barrel-aged in whiskey barrels at Nyborg Distillery for a few months before it was ready for bottling.
In this way, we have created a beautiful Stout that smells wonderful of whiskey, coffee, licorice and oak from the barrel that the beer has been aged in. The taste is a powerful explosion of coffee, roasted malts, licorice and tobacco. It is rounded off nicely with sweetness from the malt
Symbiostout is a result of what can happen when you unleash the creativity of brewers from both Ørbæk Brewery and Nyborg Distillery without setting limits.
