This is a beer we made with our dear dear friends Garage Project of Wellington. They are a lovely bunch. The beer itself is chocolatey and salty and stouty - much like the name would kinda suggest. The picture on this label is of our brewery dog Tess-dog, wearing a chef's hat. Perhaps indulgent, but she's a very gastronomic dog indeed. So it feels right.

Bottle. Black with a small tan head thatβs gone fairly soon.. Aroma of dark chocolate, a singed earthiness that I guess is roasted barley, coffee, vanilla. Oily, lowish carbonation. Sweet salted caramel, not quite as much chocolate as suggested by the aroma. Bitterness creeps in a bit, but the main flavours mostly continue. Pleasant enough.

From a 330ml bottle on 21/11/2014. Pours near balck with a small head. The nose is all chocolate and quite pleasant. In the mouth, you get more dark chocolate and sweet cocoa, a touch of roasty malt, with a slightly sharp salty bitterness to finish things off. The palate is thick with some medium carbonation. The sweet/salty contrast actually works really well here, making it dangerously quaffable. All up a very good and quite unusual stout. Chef would be proud of these chocolate salty balls...
