Reviewed from notes. Consumed at the brewery.
The appearance has a light hazy brown color, at least one finger white foamy head that softly dies after about thirty seconds. The body is light enough for carbonation to be seen rising.
The smell has some strong coffee notes up front combining nicely with the chocolate malts.
The taste is sweet yet bitter as the chocolate plays nicely with the coffee, light coffee/chocolate with slight vanilla aftertaste and a dry sticky finish.
On the palate, it sits about a light to medium with a pretty sessionable quality to it. Carbonation actually hit more so than other milk/sweet stouts I’ve had.
Overall, kinda like a light milk/sweet stout that has some American Porter qualities to it. Worthy of coming back to.
