It pours a somewhat transparent golden/yellow colored body with a decent amount of a moderate carbonation rising at a nice pace (after several pours, there was always a half fingered white foamy head), good amount of spider web lacing clings nicely to the glass.
The smell has some of those pilsener-esque malts trying to come through in a bitter sort of sense of a bitter AIPA sort of sense, weird, but hey I like it.
The taste, well, it tastes like an AIPA, nice and bitter and hoppy; slight creamy pilsener-like aftertaste and finish that actually ends up a tad dry.
On the palate, its fairly light, sessionable, hmmmm.... carbonation finishes fairly clean and good for a Pilsener and an IPA.
Overall, ok, Alaskan Brewing Company, I wanna know what the heck you’re up to this year, because to me, I’m super glad that the word \"pedestrian\" is about to go away from your beers once people try this one. ABC you have something to tell the world.
