Grumbler purchase from the Breeze in, Juneau, AK.
This was poured into a pint glass.
The appearance was a decent golden yellow color with a thin white foamy head that dissipated within about a minute. The lacing appears in a nice concave fashion all around the glass -somewhat in a semi thick sort of way.
The smell had a light spicy piney hops letting some light strawberry swirling around in and out under my nose.
The taste was sweet, slightly bitter with a little bit of spice thrown in there. The aftertaste had a long bitter stickiness to it that lead to a watery finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light on the body with a good sessionability all around. The carbonation seemed appropriately styled for a blonde ale which honestly isn’t bad to me. I’d say that it was slightly harsh but not overbearing.
Overall, I know I put this in as a fruit beer but this could be considered as a blonde ale as well. Hopefully more reviewers will show up to give their opinions of this beer. I think I’d have this again. It might make a fairly good summer session on my back porch in the evenings.
