Reviewed from notes.
This was poured into a mug at the brewpub.
The appearance was a nice hazy dark brown color with a light one finger white foamy head. The lacing was there and slightly sticky but slid into the body after a while.
The smell was nutty and rich with a roasty caramel maltiness that invaded my nose in a super nice way.
The taste was nutty and sweet with a decent roasty caramel dry aftertaste.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium in body with a fairly decent sessionable aspect to it. The carbonation was right on for a brown ale and for me.
Overall, a pretty good brown ale, well worthy of having again and definitely have with their bacon cheeseburger.
