Reviewed from notes.
This was poured into a mug.
The appearance had a dull to hazy red to brown color with a slight transparency about it allowing carbonation to be seen rising. There was a decent half fingered white foamy head that dissipated within about a minute allowing some light lacing to string about the glass.
The smell had a decent blend of nutty to caramel malts that actually allow a slight bitter piney hoppiness to come forth. The honey does eventually come out but I had to let it warm quite a bit.
The taste was semi-sweet and yet had the bitter piney hops come back ever so slightly.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fairly decent sessionable quality to it.
Overall, I say this was a fairly decent English Brown ale to have again.
