Grumbler purchase from the Breeze in, Juneau AK.
This was poured into a pint glass.
The appearance was a soft hazy amber color with a decent transparency about it allowing some light carbonation to be seen rising. There was a one finger white foamy head that dissipated within about a minute. The lacing was somewhat sticky but ended up sliding just a bit.
The smell had a sweet sticky citrus hoppiness and then a bitter sticky hoppiness. A light pale crisp maltiness came into play after a little bit of warming.
The taste was bittersweet citrus hops and crisp caramel malts.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fairly decent sessionability about it. The carbonation was good for the style and for me as it was just enough harshness but managed to stay somewhat subdued. It’s crisp but settles slightly sticky over my tongue.
Overall, good APA glad I was able to finally partake in an offering of Kassik’s that isn’t bottled.
