Grumbler purchase from Breeze-IN, Juneau, AK.
This was poured into a snifter.
The appearance was a semi - hazy amber color with a somewhat light transparency about it to allow a light carbonation to be seen rising. The head was about less than a finger’s worth of white foaminess.
The smell had a nice sticky fresh sweet to bitter and spicy rye. After some warming, a decent caramel sweet stickiness rolled in under my nose.
The taste took the rye and shook in a slight resinous quality coming sticky sweet and pure.
On the palate, this one sat right about a medium in body. Fresh sticky resin sharpened itself against my tongue to make me bear down for not necessarily a beating but a nice enthralling subjugated penetration as an AIPA.
Overall, this was a really nice offering from Alaskan. But am wondering, did I have the cart before the horse? Just weird to me that I had their Imperial Rye last month and now this one, ah no worries, good stuff. Recommend.
