A Virginia Original. A cold-aged beer of the smoothest flavor, with gently toasted malt and a light hand of noble hops. We've created an easy-drinking beer with ample flavor and depth of color.

12 ounce bottle. Amber orange pour. Brief beige head. Toasted malt nose hints at caramel. Flavor follows nose. A bit of brown sugar and sweet malt. Smooth and balanced with adequate body and flavor. Decent.

Bottle from a branch of Giant in Sterling, Virginia. Amber in colour, with moderate carbonation. A malty lager with some caramel, leafy hops and moderately bitter finish. Fine.

Pint pour at Lost Dog Cafe - Alexandria. Poured a clear yellow color with a medium sized white, fizzy head. Aroma was sweet, crisp malt character. Flavor was nice sweet caramel notes. Light herbal and earthy hop character.

Crisp deep copper and bronzed coloured body with a nice, two centimetre tall tan head that’s complete microfoam. Aroma of very nice herbal and grassy qualities with a touch of caramel and toffee, but absolutely no bitterness or harsh scents - just sweetness. Light-bodied; Super pungent malty and cereal flavour with little else and nothing to show for it. Aftertaste is just as pungent and strong with no real depth nor pleasant flavours - just the first taste of the malt and some lingering caramel notes. Overall, a pretty poor beer - and I wasn’t expecting much already - Not really worth trying to find this or sample this, even if you do find it! I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Total Wine in Alexandria, Virginia on 17-May-2015 for US$8,49 for the six pack.
