This was poured into a pint glass.
The appearance was a semi-hazy semi-burnt orange color with a fair transparency about it. Carbonation could be seen rising at a decent pace to fill a one finger white foamy head that dissipated at a nice pace. Messy lacing.
The smell had an earthy zing popping over some bitter citrus hops. Some sweet grass lightens the load. Faded aroma.
The taste was mainly the same chipping at the palate to dry out and course a bitter earthy/semi-piney aftertaste leading into the finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light on the body with a nice sessionability about it. Carbonation rides nice and low in this one.
Overall, its a decent session IPA, if one likes the earthier side of the flavor spectrum on their IPA’s. Me, I don’t mind it. I’d probably have again.
