Poured into a tulip, the appearance was a rustic looking burnt amber to orange sort of color with a thin white to off white foamy head that dissipated at a level pace. Mild lacing ran here and there.
The aroma starts off with a malty sweet rye and then opens up into some subtle grassy toned hops. Sour \"brett\" tones help to balance decently. Sly wheatiness close to the end.
The flavor starts off sweet with a the rye and the grassy hops and then seems to be interjected by the \"sour\" Brett-iness over the wheat. Decent sweet to semi-spicy aftertaste and finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a crisp semi-sweet to glossy sour/Bretty harsh sort of grip over my tongue. Ample bitterness overall hitting all around.
Overall, I’m pretty sure Zero Gravity did everything they wanted to with this beer. I’d say do-able and worthy of coming back to.
