Appearance - 8 | Aroma - 6 | Flavor - 7 | Texture - 6 | Overall - 7.5
Poured into a pint glass, the appearance was a burnt orange color close to amber. Finger’s worth of white foamy head dissipates immediately. Sly rings of lace slide into the beer somewhat in strings.
The aroma has some bready/biscuity malts flowing on into some sweet grassy hops. Quaint earthiness.
The flavor leans to the sweet malts. Sly grip of the earthy hops embitter a balance in the aftertaste. Sly hoppy bitter yet buttery sort of finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a nice sessionability about it. Mild carbonation. Smooth sort of feel on my tongue.
Overall, nice ESB that I could have again.
