Poured into a becher pint glass, the appearance was a hazy yellow color with a slight transparency about it. Just a cap of a little white head. Sliding messy lace.
The aroma had some sweet to sharp bitter citrus pulp and rind up front and then some tropical fruits. Slight floral quality at the end.
The flavor had some fruity hop sweetness up front making a good effort to balance with some malts, but does it? Not exactly. The hops stay in front and move into the aftertaste fairly easy. Wet sweet fruity finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fair sessionability about it. Carbonation felt fine. ABV felt as appropriate as the brewer intended.
Overall, is this supposed to be a blonde ale, a fruit beer or an APA? Not sure, but it is quite tasty and definitely worthy of many more pours especially in the Summer.
