Poured into a tulip at the brewery.
The appearance was a nice hazy looking bronzed yellow to orange color with a fairly thick two fingers worth of white foamy head that dissipated at a nice pace. Messy sticky foamy lace.
The aroma took some sweet and bitter citrus pulp and rind to play with some subtle sweet portions of pineapple and then finishes with some white pepper.
The flavor starts sweet and then the dry hopping assists in pulling out a nice level bitter rind. Once again, the white pepper comes in for the balance. Well blended aftertaste between pineapple and white pepper. Semi-dry citrus rind-like finish.
On the palate, this was about a light to medium on the body with a nice sessionability about it. Moderate carbonation. ABV felt nice.
Overall, pretty good for what it is. I didn’t look at my review on Saison De Foam, so I don’t know how much this compares. Still, a worthy saison of having again, preferably in Summer.
