Another one from Jake, thanks buddy.
This was poured into a tulip.
The appearance was a soft semi-hazy burnt yellow to orange with a finger’s worth of white foamy head that dissipates at a nice pace. Subtle messy lace.
The aroma had some sweet tropical fruit up front, then some caramel malts. Pine is there but extremely delicate and trying to be the \"bitterness\" portion.
The flavor leans towards the sweet side blending the tropical fruit to the malts nice and even and clean. Pineyness sits in the background. Nicely blended aftertaste and finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a decent sessionable to sipping quality about it. Good carbonation. ABV felt as projected by the brewer.
Overall, good DIPA but probably shouldn’t have been passed off to a Vermonter to write the first review of this on ratebeer. Shame on you, Michigan. Chop chop, get going over there!
