Poured into a nonic pint glass, the appearance was a dark brown close to black color with a huge rocky off white foamy head. Seemed to take forever before it died off, but when it did, a great amount of clingy lace wound around the glass.
The aroma had a big roasty maltiness up front and then coffee and chocolate coming through in a well blended sweet to bitter way.
The flavor had a nice sweet milk chocolatey flow, bold and up front bringing the coffee and roasted malts in very nicely too. Smooth creamy milk chocolatey aftertaste and finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a medium on the body with a good smooth sipping quality about it. Mild carbonation.
Overall, nice imperial stout that I would have again.
