The name says it all, "Beer." As a Blonde ale (the brewer calls it a lawnmower beer) it uses 2-row pale malt as the base with a bit of Crystal and wheat added to enhance the flavor. This is a smash beer with only one type of hop throughout the brewing process.

Keg at the VA Craft Brewers Festival. Murky orange, large foamy white head, decent retention. Aroma of pale biscuit malt, citrus. The taste is citrus, tropical hops, pale malt. Medium bodied, crisp, refreshing.

Draft at the source. This is a pretty standard light lager, in appearance and taste.

3ish ounce draft pour at Old 690. Clear straw yellow with off-white head. Aromas of light wheat, light citrus. Tastes of wheat, citrus peel, breadsticks. Medium-light body with a dry finish. Medium carbonation. Decent blonde ale, not a whole lot on the aroma for me.

Draft at the brewery over the weekend. Poured a clear yellow-orange color with a small white head. Aroma was light, crisp notes, sweet malts, some biscuit and sweet herbal notes. Blondes aren’t my favorite, but this one is certainly fine as they come.
