Finally something new all around for me.
This was poured into a pilsener glass.
The appearance was a pale yellow color with a slight haze to it. Finger and a half’s worth of white foamy head that dissipated at a fairly quick pace. Barely any lace.
The aroma had some crisp lemon pulpy sweetness, light grassy hops and a stuffy sweet biscuit-like malt.
The flavor leaned towards the sweet side adding a little bit of cracker like sweetness. All seems to roll right on into the aftertaste and on into the finish cleanly.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fair sessionability about it. Nice lager sweet smoothness rolling over my tongue. Some prickly carbonation was felt. ABV felt spot on.
Overall, nicely done pale lager well worthy of having again. I understand why 14th Star put it out close to the end of Winter, but I really wasn’t up for one of these until now.
